Seasonal Stinks
When I was first hired as a seasonal employee, I was warned before hand that I would be working very few hours in the beginning. I figured that meant working about two or three days a week, instead of five days or more. It turns out, they weren't kidding. I've been on call this entire week and haven't worked once.
I'm starting to get antsy, because I really haven't made any money, and we really need it.
I now know that to be a seasonal employee isn't worth it. Sure, the closer we get to Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend and Christmas, the more hours I will most likely have, but wow- there is no way anyone can survive on less than one hundred dollars for an entire week. I am disappointed, to say the least.
